Crossover Circuit raises the stakes with a longer race and two meaningful climbs separated by extended flatter sections. Each climb is roughly a mile long at around six percent: long enough for the strongest climbers to create separation, but followed by terrain where an organized chase can bring riders back. Winning the climb and winning the race are two completely different propositions.
That contrast is the motivation for making this course second the series. After the speed and positioning of Island Coasts, riders must now show sustained power, recovery, and the judgment to decide when a gap is worth defending. Do the climbers cooperate over the top, or do the bigger engines reconnect on the flats? Expect attacks on the ascents, tactical regrouping, and a race that could reward the rider who manages the spaces between hard efforts best.
